new entry point to the Mercury brand. The exterior design is modern with signature Mercury design
cues including waterfall grille and satin aluminum trim. The premium interior features upgraded
materials such as leather seats and either Satin Metallic or Wales Mahogany wood trim, and
available two-tone leather seating surfaces with contrast stitching.

New for 2008

The 2008 Mercury Milan adds more standard and optional equipment including a standard tire-
pressure-monitoring system, keyless entry keypad, Reverse Sensing System, Mercury Sync hands-
free communication entertainment system and interior ambient lighting. Four new package options
are also available with five new exterior colors.

The Sable is Mercury’s midsize sedan that returns to the Mercury lineup for 2008 replacing the
Montego. The Sable is redesigned with signature Mercury design elements from the Mercury Mariner
SUV and Mercury Milan sedan, such as the waterfall grille, satin aluminum accents, high contrast
interiors and upscale trim. The Montego joined the Mercury lineup for 2005 and replaced the Sable for
the 2006 and 2007 model years. The Sable was introduced as a 1986 model, built on the same
platform as the Ford Taurus. The fourth-generation Sable arrived for 2000 with more conservative
styling and offered adjustable pedals for the first time in a midsize sedan.

New for 2008

The 2008 Mercury Sable replaces the Montego in the Mercury lineup for 2008, powered by a new 263-
horsepower 3.5-liter Duratec V6 engine that produces 245 lb-ft of torque and is teamed with the same
6-speed automatic transmission found in the Ford Edge. Features include standard AdvanceTrac
electronic stability control, auxiliary audio input, available voice-activated navigation a DVD rear-seat
entertainment system and factory-installed SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

The Montego is Mercury’s all-new midsize sedan that was introduced for 2005 and is a cousin to the
Ford Five Hundred, built on a new platform that is shared with the Ford Freestyle crossover. The
Montego features crisp handling, energy-channeling frame and body structures for improved safety, a
trademark Mercury "waterfall" grille that was originally seen on the Mercury Mountaineer, and available
all-wheel drive. Inside, the driver sits about four inches higher than most midsize sedans, and rear-
seat passengers enjoy excellent legroom.

New for 2007

The 2007 Mercury Montego adds a power driver’s seat, traction control, front-seat side airbags and
Safety Canopy side air curtains (late availability) as standard equipment. New options include SIRIUS
Satellite Radio and 18-inch 8-spoke chrome-clad wheels. Dune Pearl Clearcoat Metallic and Alloy
Clearcoat Metallic are added as new exterior colors.

The Grand Marquis is a traditional full-size, V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive American sedan.
Introduced more than 25 years ago, the Grand Marquis is the best-selling Mercury ever with more
than 2.7 million sold between 1975 and 2003.

New for 2008

The 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis adds a standard tire-pressure-monitoring system and three new
packages. The GS Comfort Appearance Package combines leather-trimmed seats, a power driver’s
seat, manual passenger seat and 16-inch painted aluminum wheels. The GS Confidence Package
includes power, heated, color-keyed exterior mirrors, fog lights and traction control. The LS Travel
Package adds dual media AM/FM stereo/cassette/single-disc CD player and a conventional spare tire
and wheel.

The Mariner is Mercury’s compact SUV that’s based on the Ford Escape. For 2008 the Mercury
receives its first major redesign with updates to the exterior, interior and an upgraded chassis.
Highlighted by new fascias, headlights and taillights, liftgate and hood, the Mercury also receives a
larger signature waterfall grille with bigger Mercury badge on the grille. The interior is showcased by a
comprehensive safety package, a quieter ride and new features. Standard with front-wheel drive, the
2008 Mariner is also available with Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive. A hybrid powertrain for the Mariner is
available with the Mariner Hybrid.

New for 2008

The 2008 Mercury Mariner is available in two trim levels: the Mariner and up-level Mariner Premier.
The interior has a number of updates including with new seats, door trim panels, A- and B-pillar
trims, center console, new floor-mounted shifter, Satin Pewter finishes and chrome accents to give
the 2008 Mariner an upscale look. The Mariner is the first vehicle to debut the “top of dash” display, Ice
Blue Lighting and dials and buttons that “poke-through” the center console. The center console is
large enough to hold a laptop computer and has three levels of storage space. The chassis is
upgraded the new Electric Power Steering (EPS) system that helps improve fuel economy. Safety
equipment includes standard side-curtain airbags with AdvanceTrac with the roll stability control
system. Under the hood is a four-speed automatic paired with the standard 2.3-liter 153-horsepower
four cylinder or an optional 3.0-liter 200-horsepower V6 produces 193 lb-ft of torque.

The Mercury Mariner Hybrid is Mercury’s new gasoline-electric hybrid version of the compact SUV
based on the Ford Escape that was introduced for 2005. The Mariner Hybrid was originally planned
as a 2007 model, but was pulled ahead a full year in response to increased interest in gasoline-
electric hybrid vehicles. The Mariner Hybrid is configured as a full hybrid and is able to run up to 30
mph powered only by electric power. During coasting, at a stop, or a low speeds, the gasoline engine
automatically shuts down. When needed, the gasoline engine and electric traction motor work
together to produce the equivalent of 155 horsepower. For 2008 the Mariner Hybrid receives its first
major redesign with updates to the exterior, interior and an upgraded chassis.

The 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid receives a total makeover and shares similar updates as the
Mariner. For the first time, Mariner Hybrid will be available front- or four-wheel drive. Highlighted by

The Mountaineer is Mercury’s premium midsize SUV that is built on the same platform as the Ford
Explorer. The Mountaineer was introduced in 1997 and was totally redesigned for 2002 with a
standard third-row fold-flat seat. For 2006 the Mountaineer gets a makeover inside and out.

New for 2008

The 2008 Mercury Mountaineer adds more features including the Mercury Sync hands-free in-car
communications and entertainment system (late availability), capless fuel filling system (late
availability), 20-inch wheels (late availability) and seven new packages.

The 2006 Mercury Monterey is Mercury’s long-wheelbase luxury minivan that joined the Mercury lineup
for 2005 as the first of four new vehicles. The Monterey takes styling cues from the Mountaineer SUV
and combines luxury, modern design and utility.

The 2007 Mercury Monterey remains essentially unchanged but adds Windveil Blue Clearcoat
Metallic, Alloy Clearcoat Metallic, Silver Frost Clearcoat Metallic, Dune Pearl Clearcoat Metallic, Pewter
Clearcoat Metallic and Light Tundra as new exterior colors.
